The Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense, Major General (Res.) Eyal Zamir, met with Benedikt Zimmer, the State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Defense, in Berlin. During the meeting, the Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense updated his colleague on the IDF operation targeting terror hotspots in the city of Jenin.
The leaders discussed the strengthening of defense relations between the two countries’ defense ministries and advanced the agreement regarding the sale of the Arrow 3 air and missile defense system to Germany. Maj. Gen. (Res.) Zamir stated that according to the directive of the Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, the Israel Ministry of Defense is working to finalize the process soon. Once the sale receives approval from the American government, the production phase will commence.
Director General Zamir thanked the State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Defense and expressed the defense establishment’s deep appreciation for Zimmer’s commitment and personal dedication to the security of the State of Israel and the overall stability of the region.
