Starting from Thoise, one of the highest altitude air force stations in the world at 3,068 meters above sea level, the rally will journey to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, covering a remarkable distance of 7,000 kilometres. The event received an enthusiastic send-off from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the National War Memorial in New Delhi on October 1, 2024.
The rally will traverse through nine states and Union Territories, with planned stops at significant locations including Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Agra, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga, Bagdogra, Hasimara, Guwahati, Tezpur, and Dirang, before culminating in Tawang on October 29, 2024.
Throughout the journey, the team aims to engage with the youth and inspire them to consider careers in the Armed Forces. The initiative seeks to raise awareness about the illustrious history of the IAF and honour the bravery of air warriors in various conflicts and rescue operations. Notably, several former Air Force Chiefs will join the rally at different stages, further enriching the experience and legacy of this historic event.
